Young Man will hit the road for a tour of the South in January!

It’s still early in the year-end wrap ups, but The Antlers have already chalked up a spot on NPR’s Top 50 Records Of 2011 as well as Stereogum’s Top 50 list!  Congratulations Antlers.

November seems to be EP month over here at Frenchkiss and we couldn’t be happier.  Devin‘s You’re Mine EP is quickly spreading across music sites after Rolling Stone premiered it yesterday.  And RACES Big Broom EP is a great introduction to the band, who have a full length in the pipeline for 2012.  Both those EPs are out November 15!

Fans of The Drums, aka all of us, head over to Google Magnifier for a sweet video interview with the band!  Also, New York Magazine just asked Johnny from The Drums to pick 5 albums they recommend, which you should check out.  Full disclosure: I totally learned about a band I never heard of from the list and have been listening to them ever since! Thanks Johnny!

One more Halloween sweet treat: 1,2,3 recorded a Misfits EP because it doesn’t matter much to me, as long as it’s dead.

2011.10.31

Happy Halloween! The next seven days is Drums week for us in New York City.  The band’s tour stops into town on November 2nd for a show at Bowery Ballroom, November 3rd at Music Hall Of Williamsburg and then again November 7 at Bowery Ballroom again.  All these shows are sold out but, if it’s any consolation, the band did just release a Jeremy Summer Camp remix of “How It Ended” on RCRD LBL.  Have at it!

Young Man‘s Ideas Of Distance is out now, and the band is currently on tour with Cold War Kids.  This AOL Spinner article chronicles the trek from the Boy EP to Ideas Of Distance and you can download an exclusive alternate take of “Then and Now” on IFC.com
