Local Natives have been continuing their tear since this week’s release of Gorilla Manor. The band’s debut was #160 on the Billboard Top 200, which is pretty damn good if you ask me.  Be sure to check out their site, their myspace, or our tour page for the DL on their upcoming tour.

The album has been receiving rave reviews, including being awarded Best New Music on Pitchfork and this glowing review by the LA Times.

We’ve got big news and definitely are busy ahead of Local Natives debut album Gorilla Manor being released.  The band just launched their website and are featured in iTunes ‘2010 Artists To Watch’ Sampler, that is a 20 song free download if you become a fan of iTunes on Facebook. They recently released a new video for “Airplanes”, which you can watch over at Pitchfork, Stereogum and basically every other blog on the internet.

Freelance Whales have been getting a lot of press before their March release Weathervanes. Check out this feature on Elle, and this one on Esquire, a free at noon NPR review and a bunch of reviews for their recent show at New York City’s Mercury Lounge.

The Antlers, who were recently voted among the best cancertainment , will be out on the road with Editors soon.  Look out for them, check our site for dates.  Check out this interview they did with MTV Iggy and see this review of a recent Haiti benefit they played in NYC.

The Antlers are playing a haiti benefit at City Winery NYC tonight w/ patti smith, swell season and yo la tengo.  If you can’t make it, be sure to donate as much as you can to the relief efforts.

Happy New Year!  We have a lot of exciting releases planned for you in ‘010.  What are your resolutions?  Mine are to quit doing just about everything I was doing in 2009… except putting out music. 

The Dodos will be THIS FRIDAY’s guest on the Late Show With David Letterman.  Congrats to them!  They will also be playing Noise Pop in San Francisco.  The Dodos & Magik Magik Orchestestra collaborative performance will take place Thursday February 25 at the Palace Of Fine Arts!

The Antlers and Passion Pit are all over The Pitchfork Reader’s Poll.  We want to thank you all for the support there.  The Dodos Time To Die were selected as one of MAGNET’s Top 20 Albums of 2009!
